Since the physical operation of Meishan Tianfu New Area began, it has adhered to... The concept of “education first, leading high-quality economic development” calls for greater efforts to introduce high-quality educational resources and innovate school-running models, thereby gradually boosting the development of education in the new district. Currently, education in the new district is at a strategic and opportune period marked by accelerated urban development, transformative shifts in educational approaches, and the reshaping of the education governance system. This new situation presents a complex interplay of multiple opportunities and challenges. Compared with more developed regions and in light of the public’s growing demand for high-quality education, Meishan’s educational development level still has a certain gap. Thus, project construction has become imperative.

Total investment of this project 1.25 billion yuan, covering an area of 230.09 mu, with a total construction area of 158,433.27 square meters, the project primarily includes a school. Construction of public areas, teaching and research areas, student accommodation and living areas, and supporting facilities. This project is being developed and constructed under a collaborative education model between the Meishan Management Committee of Sichuan Tianfu New Area and Tsinghua University High School. The design and planning adhere to standards that reflect Tsinghua’s distinctive characteristics while highlighting the unique charm of Meishan. The school will be managed according to the management and educational approaches adopted by Tsinghua High School’s main campus. Tsinghua High School provides full support in drafting the school’s educational plan and building its teaching staff. The project regards education as the primary engine driving high-quality development and a key growth pole for economic development in the new area.
