Zeshi Consulting leaders accompanied the Yunnan Provincial Engineering Consulting Association to Zhejiang for study and research on the "Ten Million Project."

In response to the national rural revitalization strategy and to promote high-quality development of rural revitalization, as well as to exchange and learn from exemplary cases and successful experiences in rural revitalization practice projects, From November 28 to December 2, Song Yingzhong, Chairman of Zeshi Consulting, and Li Yun, General Manager, accompanied by leaders from the Yunnan Provincial Engineering Consulting Association and representatives from 19 member units, traveled to Hangzhou and Huzhou to conduct an inspection, research, and exchange seminar on the “Thousand Villages Demonstration, Ten Thousand Villages Improvement” project.

Zhejiang The "Ten Million Project," personally conceived, deployed, and promoted by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his tenure in Zhejiang Province, represents a groundbreaking practice in China's "agriculture, rural areas, and farmers" (the "Three Rural Issues") work. Taking the improvement of rural living environments as its starting point, the project has systematically advanced the construction of beautiful villages, the adjustment of rural industrial structures, and ecological conservation, achieving historic accomplishments that have significantly transformed rural landscapes, dramatically improved farmers' living standards, and spurred robust development of rural economies.

The 20th Anniversary National Case Study of the “Ten Million Projects” for Rural Revitalization—Dongziguan Village, Fuyang District, Hangzhou. This project fully integrates natural landscapes and water features, reconfigures clustered residential layouts, and innovates architectural characteristics. It has explored and developed a practical strategy and operational model tailored to large-scale improvements in rural living environments, thereby creating a “new Zhejiang-style residential demonstration zone” that is “low-cost,” “high-quality,” and “replicable.”

In Huzhou City, the research team conducted a field visit to... Anji Yucun, the birthplace of the “Two Mountains Theory,” is also one of the first villages in China to be selected by the United Nations World Tourism Organization as a “Best Tourism Village.” Research Team Deeply experienced Zhejiang over the past twenty years. The top-level design of the “Ten Million Project”—a blueprint that is carried through to the end—adheres to the principle of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, promotes ecological civilization, and pursues a path of high-quality, green development. Through a series of successful experiences, such as integrating the three industries to unleash the core driving force behind rural revitalization, today’s Anji has painted a moving picture of beautiful villages, thriving industries, and shared prosperity. The research team also visited the Hangzhou National Library of Versions (also known as Wenrun Pavilion and the Hangzhou Branch of the National Library of Versions of China). This landmark of culture in the new era was strategically planned by the nation from the perspective of cultural security and cultural rejuvenation, serving as a repository for safeguarding and preserving civilization. The “warehouse” of the “Golden Seeds,” also known as the Gene Bank of Chinese Civilization Seeds, is a major cultural project approved and implemented by the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core. This project fully embodies our Party’s profound confidence in inheriting and developing Chinese culture, and represents an important step toward drawing on historical wisdom to better navigate the future.

After the on-site inspection, the research delegation visited the Zhejiang Provincial Engineering Consulting Association. Zhou Huafu, President of the Association, Yang Daili, Secretary-General, and other association staff warmly welcomed the arrival of President Feng Junlin and his delegation. Representatives from engineering consulting firms in Zhejiang and Yunnan provinces held a roundtable discussion to exchange views on their respective business operations. Zhejiang’s experience has consistently been at the forefront of national development, offering many valuable lessons and best practices worth learning from. As an industry that provides comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, and all-round consulting services, the engineering consulting sector not only needs to expand toward digitalization, intelligence, and full-process integration, but also must innovate in terms of consulting models, content, and methodologies.

Through this inspection and research activity, the research team not only learned about Zhejiang... The “Ten Million Projects” initiative has boosted rural revitalization and provided practical experience in full-process engineering consulting. It has also strengthened exchanges and cooperation with engineering consulting firms in Zhejiang Province, broadening our horizons and enhancing our thinking.
