Zhongtou Zeshi went to Gejiu City, Yunnan Province, to conduct a research survey for the formulation of the "15th Five-Year" Plan.

Subsequently, the research team visited the Management Committee of the Gejiu Industrial Park and held an in-depth discussion and exchange with Deputy Director Xue Ruiqi and leaders from various departments of the committee. Accompanied by Deputy Director Xue, the team also conducted field visits and conducted research at the Yunnan Gejiu Industrial Park as well as at representative enterprises such as Zhongxin and Chengfeng. The next day, under the organization and arrangement of the Development and Reform Bureau of Gejiu City, the research team held in-depth discussions and exchanges with 23 government departments in Gejiu City that are involved in economic and social affairs. At the meeting, the research team carefully listened to reports from each department on the progress made during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, as well as the difficulties and challenges they face. Together with the departments, the team also discussed their respective visions and key tasks for the 15th Five-Year Plan period, and exchanged views and suggestions on the city’s overall economic and social development. Finally, Director Hu from the Development and Reform Bureau delivered a concluding speech, emphasizing that the key focus of Gejiu City’s 15th Five-Year Plan preparation is to highlight Gejiu’s unique characteristics, integrate new-quality productive forces, identify a clear development positioning, and optimize and enhance the spatial and industrial layout of Gejiu City. All units and departments should adopt a highly responsible attitude toward Gejiu’s development, actively engage in upward coordination, proactively think about and plan the fundamental development ideas and projects for the 15th Five-Year Plan, and formulate a 15th Five-Year Plan that is tailored to Gejiu’s actual conditions and effectively guides the city’s high-quality development.

During the research process, the research team also visited the Health and Health Commission and the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Gejiu City to hold a symposium and exchange ideas on the special research project concerning the development of medical and health services and cultural tourism industries in Gejiu City during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. They engaged in an in-depth discussion on local resource advantages, industrial development positioning, industrial layout, and project support.

Through preliminary research, the research team gained a deeper and more detailed understanding of the key tasks, reform initiatives, and project arrangements of various departments in Gejiu. They also obtained a solid grasp of the basic status of planning and preparation work being carried out by each department, laying a strong foundation for formulating development strategies for the 15th Five-Year Plan and identifying major projects.
